As quantity surveyors for the Tramways Building project, our role involved providing comprehensive cost management throughout the redevelopment of this iconic structure. We delivered detailed budgeting and cost planning, ensuring the project's financial feasibility from the initial design phase. Our team was responsible for the accurate preparation of bills of quantities, which guided procurement and tender processes, and provided a clear framework for construction costs. We meticulously managed all contractual matters, including the valuation of work completed and the administration of payments, ensuring the project remained on track financially. Our expertise in cost control was vital in balancing the preservation of the building's historic character—such as the exposed brickwork and concrete structure—with the integration of modern design elements like the steel-framed glass facades and contemporary interiors.
